Flexible Solar Power for Residential and Small Commercial Projects
The 1stess EMT Series off-grid solar inverter combines solar charging, battery charging and DC-to-AC conversion in one unit. Designed for single-phase 220/230V applications, this range helps installers configure solar power systems for homes, retail shops, offices and other appropriately sized loads.
Integrated MPPT Solar Charging
The built-in MPPT solar charge controller manages photovoltaic input to maximize solar energy capture. Maximum solar charging current ranges from 100A to 160A, depending on the model.
The series supports a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 500V DC. PV string design must account for each model's MPPT operating range, input current limit and maximum PV array power.
Dual Outputs for Flexible Load Management
Main and second AC outputs allow installers to separate load groups within the system. This supports prioritization of essential loads over discretionary equipment.
Both outputs share the inverter's total output capacity. Their individual ratings cannot be added together to calculate available system power.
Lithium Battery Integration via RS485
The EMT Series supports communication with compatible LiFePO4 batteries through RS485. Battery activation by PV or utility power provides additional commissioning flexibility.
The 3.6kW and 4.2kW models use a nominal 24V battery system, while the 6.2kW and 11kW models use a nominal 48V battery system.
How the Solar Inverter Works
Solar panels supply DC power to the inverter's integrated MPPT stage. The system can supply connected loads and charge connected batteries depending on operating mode, available solar power and load demand.
The inverter converts DC power into pure sine wave AC power for compatible equipment. A connected battery provides energy when solar generation is insufficient, while utility AC input supports charging and load supply.
Practical Installation and Monitoring
An LCD display provides local operating information, while optional WiFi monitoring supports remote system visibility. The detachable dust cover facilitates routine servicing.
With an IP21 protection rating, the EMT Series is intended for suitable indoor installation. Installation locations must meet specified environmental limits and provide adequate ventilation and clearances.
